This post from VMware’s user community discuss improving performance VMware server 2.0 beta Ref link; http://communities.vmware.com/thread/121763;jsessionid=FFC6E5C3251BE34E289A16C653E53DF5?tstart=0 I am running VMware server Beta 2.0 on Windows Server 2003 x64 SP2 (Quad Xeon X3210, 8Gb Ram), but this applies equally if you are running Linux (any version). I managed to resolve the performance issues as follows: 1. Locate the VMWare Server install directory 2. Shutdown all VMWare processes and services 3. Rename vmware-remotemks-debug.exe to vmwanre-remotemks-debug.exe.org and vmware-vmx-debug.exe to vmware-vmx-debug.exe.org 4. Copy vmware-vmx.exe to vmware-vmx-debug.exe and copy vmware-remotemks.exe to vmware-remotemks-debug.exe 5.
