Shadow Copies Enabled?

File fragmentation?

Page file fragmentation?

Scan Disk,Chkdsk

Check disk space.

Status of backups?

Check page file, should be 1.5 times the server ram, and if possible not on the same drive as a database.

Foreground Memory management in advanced settings.

Make sure DEP is off.

Make sure Virus Protection up to date.

If the server is using 2 cpu’s or more make sure its running on a blade that supports that, Hs20’s have proven not to handle that well.
